Common Ground (2021)

HD video, 3 minutes, slide positives

Common ground is a short film expressing a wish for connection between Jenny and her belated grandfather Jens. As a first approach to diving into the archive left behind after his passing, the film attempts to reveal what is shared between the two, through the photographic eye of one observing what the other has chosen to document. Written words sum up the common ground they share, while Jenny speaks directly to her grandfather, contemplating the reasons why they didn’t share more while they still could.
